Create FirstComponent.vue and import it into App.js

Create the new component in the src/components/ components folder. the component name is FirstComponent.vue and imported into the App.js file:

App.js

<template>
  <div id="app">
    <FirstComponent />
  </div>
</template>

<script>
import FirstComponent from "./components/FirstComponent.vue";
export default {
  name: "App",
  components: {
    FirstComponent,
  },
};
</script>

Add an indeterminate state in the checkbox

To add the checkbox we are going to use the form checkbox <b-form-checkbox> component. these components <b-form-checkbox-group> and <b-form-checkbox> use the bootstrap custom checkbox input to replace the browser default checkbox input.so it is a solid replacement for the default checkbox input.

Normally in checkbox have only two states that is checked and unchecked. Visually, there are three states a checkbox can be in: checked, unchecked, or indeterminate.

The indeterminate state is only visual. The checkbox is still either checked or unchecked as a value. To visual the indeterminate state in <b-form-checkbox> we are going to use the indeterminate prop.The default value of indeterminate false. Let’s see the code example:

FirstComponent.js

<template>
  <div id="app">
  <h1>Welcome to sortoutcode.com</h1>
    <b-form-checkbox v-model="checked" :indeterminate.sync="indeterminate">
      This is sortoutcode.com
    </b-form-checkbox>

    <div class="mt-3">
      Checked value: <strong>{{ checked }}</strong><br>
      Indeterminate value: <strong>{{ indeterminate }}</strong>
    </div>

    <b-button @click="resetIndeterminate">Reset Indeterminate State</b-button>
  </div>
</template>

<script>
  export default {
    data() {
      return {
        checked: true,
        indeterminate: true
      }
    },
    methods: {
      resetIndeterminate() {
        this.indeterminate = !this.indeterminate
      }
    }
  }
</script>

For now, let’s check the output.
