How to Install the VueJS project?

Install the Bootstrap and BootstrapVue

First, we have to install the Vue project, I had installed the vueJS in my system. If you haven’t installed or have any problem with installation you can follow this article, which will show you step by step process of installation. In that article, I had also show you how to install BootstrapVue in your vue.js project step by step.

How to install or configure vue-bootstrap in VueJS?

Create FirstComponent.vue and import it into App.js

Create the new component in the src/components/ components folder. the component name is FirstComponent.vue and imported into the App.js file:

App.js

<template>
  <div id="app">
    <FirstComponent />
  </div>
</template>

<script>
import FirstComponent from "./components/FirstComponent.vue";
export default {
  name: "App",
  components: {
    FirstComponent,
  },
};
</script>

Different sizes of icons

After the install complete we have to register the IconsPlugin component in src/main.js.

Bootstrap Icons are designed to work with Bootstrap components, from form controls to navigation. Bootstrap Icons are SVGs, so they scale quickly and easily and can be styled with CSS. While they are built for Bootstrap, they will work in any project.

To add the different sizes of icons we are going to use the current font size or we can also add the customer CSS using the style attribute. And we can also use the prop font-scale to scale the icon’s current font size. Let’s see the code example:

Using the font-scale props

FirstComponent.js

<template>
  <div>
    <h1>Welcome to sortoutcode.com</h1>
    <b-icon icon="alarm-fill" font-scale="1"></b-icon>
    <b-icon icon="alarm-fill" font-scale="2"></b-icon>
    <b-icon icon="alarm-fill" font-scale="3"></b-icon>
    <b-icon icon="alarm-fill" font-scale="4"></b-icon>
    <b-icon icon="alarm-fill" font-scale="5"></b-icon>
    <b-icon icon="alarm-fill" font-scale="6"></b-icon>
    <b-icon icon="alarm-fill" font-scale="7"></b-icon>
